Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you all to the 37 th
Annual Scientific Meeting and Annual General Meeting of the Hong Kong Society of Endocrinology,
Metabolism and Reproduction. As with previous meetings, we intend to provide a valuable platform
for participants to share information on endocrinology, diabetes and reproduction, exchange ideas
and foster collaborations. Participants will include physicians, scientists, nurses and other health care
professionals, as well as fellows in training and students.
The theme this year is “Thyroid & Pituitary”. We hope to offer participants the latest knowledge and
updates in this fast-evolving field. We are greatly honoured to have Dr. S.M. Chow, Prof. Anderson
Wong and Dr. Shirley Wong as our symposium speakers, who will share with us their expertise and the
latest research developments. We also encourage all of you to attend the oral presentations and visit
the poster booths to maximize your experience and learning.
This is the first time that the ASM will be conducted in a hybrid format. The preparation of ASM this year
has been challenging, with many uncertainties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are very grateful for
the invaluable advice and support from council members. I hope all of you will enjoy this meeting!
